Fall is officially here with cooler evening temperature. October brings us many fun activities to enjoy and get involve in! October is Elks National Foundation month and also it is Drug Awareness month. Let us not forget that our own Brad Smith, DDGER is coming home and he has combined it with Oktoberfest on October 12th. Please don’t forget to sign up for that dinner. It is also one of the last fun raiser for ENF.
Alan Bobillot,PER is our own Drug Czar. He is the Chairman of the Drug Awareness Committee. Alan is planning an event on October 23rd, look for more information around the Lodge on this event.
It has come to the attention of the House Committee, there may be a desire to move the Lodge meeting time up from 7:30 PM to 7:00 PM. There will be a notice in this edition of the Herd Talk to that affect. It will be voted on by the membership at the first meeting in November. If you desire it to change or stay the same, show up and let your vote count!!

Let us not forget our annual Halloween Havoc, it is scheduled for October 28th. The tickets are sold in advance $25.00 and it is always major fun!!!
We are approaching our busy season where we will be needing much help as we are an all volunteer organization. We do provide on the job training so don’t let that stop you!!
