Eureka Elks Lodge No. 652, Emblem Club No. 298 and Scout Troop No. 54 celebrated Fourth of July with a flag day ceremony. The Emblem Club displayed the flags from the early colonies to today’s 50 star and thirteen stripes, with the history of each flag. The Scouts performed the flag folding ceremony with the meaning of the 13 folds. It was an inspiring day for members and family. Joyce Radelich, June Trailblazer, lead 15 Roamers to Lewiston. This was our first outing since the pandemic restrictions were lifted. The outing was from June 4-7. The Peddler’s Fair was cancelled due to the pandemic, but a good time was still had by all. The Roamers shared breakfast together and had a potluck dinner. The last night was steaks at the Moose Lodge. Campfires were held each night. The Roamers next outing will be August 13-16 in Grants Pass, Oregon at Joe Creek Waterfalls RV Resort (KOA). Crystal Arbuthnot, August Trailblazer, is planning a Jet Boat ride through Hells Canyon on the Rogue River.
The next meeting will be on July 1st at 4:30 pm at the Lodge. We hope to see you there!
Happy Trails to You!
