Eureka Elks Lodge No.652 held its annual flag day ceremony on Saturday, June 15th. This patriotic event gives the history from the earliest “Pine Tree” flag to our current “Stars and Strips”. The Grand Lodge of Elks in July of 1908 made it mandatory that each local lodge hold a Flag Day on or near June 14th. The Elks were proud to invite the following organizations to participate in the ceremony. Eureka Emblem Club No. 298, Boy Scout Troops No. 54 and 27, International Order of Jobs Daughters Bethel No.86, Mad River Community Veterans Honor Guard and Eureka Commandry No.35 Knights Templar.
