Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as the Major Project Piggy Bank chairperson for the
fiscal year.

I will be attending the State Convention in Fresno this month and, upon returning, plans for different fund raisers will begin that will enable our lodge to support the State Committee in assisting children with special needs.

Any suggestions for what type of fundraising anyone would like to see take place, please contact me and let’s all support our Exalted Ruler’s motto: "Deeds. Not Words."

Leading Knight’s Corner – February 2019

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and your Lodge is having dinner. This dinner will be served from 6:00PM to 8 PM, so if you are late getting off work or would rather eat a little later, we have you covered!

Let me set the scene for you:

I will be your hostess for the evening. When you enter the Lodge, you can enjoy a cocktail at the bar or be seated for dinner. We will start the seating at 6:00 pm through 8:00 pm. You will be seated at your table, whether you choose a table for two, a table for four or more, you will be accommodated. When you enter the dining room, you will see a room transformed into a beautiful dining experience. You will hear the beautiful music of a harp playing. Once seated, you will be greeted by a handsome man who will pour a complimentary glass of champagne and your waitper son will br ing an hors d’oeuvre plate and will ask you to notify them when you are ready for your next course.

The menu includes hors d’oeuvres, spinach salad with fresh raspberries, prime rib with all the fixings, dinner rolls and a fabulous raspberry mousse with chocolate hearts. A red rose will be presented to the couple.

You know you are going to take your loved one out for dinner so why not at the lodge? You will make your loved one feels so special and help children to be screened for preschool vision, speech-language therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy through Major Projects’ funding. When you see a purple pig, drop your change in it and if you want a purple pig of your own to deposit your loose change in at home, just ask and you will receive one.

This event is a pre-sale only event and the deadline is Sunday, February 10, 2019. Come into the Lodge office and buy your tickets, $40.00/person.

Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I’m finalizing the details for the Valentines Dinner and will have the menu out soon along with the tickets. This will be a pre-paid dinner just like our New Year’s Eve event.

Some of the up-coming events: “Purple Pig Dinner” will be later in February and St. Patrick‘s Day corned beef & cabbage dinner in March.

As the Leading Knight, I will be moving up to the next position if you, the membership, so desire. If that does occur, I will be looking for one more
officer and committed chairpersons along with House Committee members. If you would like to become more involved in your lodge by serving as an officer or on any of the committees, please get in touch with me.

Speaking about becoming more involved in your lodge, we are a volunteer lodge and always in need of volunteers for the dining room, bar and tiling the
door. Please call the lodge and sign up to volunteer!
